Lockers- Precisionism

This is painting is inspired by Lewandowski. These are the lockers in E-Building. I like my color concept ,but i did not know that precisionism did not have texture in it. So I wish that I could re-do this piece over to match what precisionism is.

Collage- A Spinnaker Sail

This collage was inspired by Derek Gores. It is a collage of a spinnaker sail. The whole process of making this project took a very long time. I am satisfied with the background but not so on the sail itself.

Environmental Portait : Texting in Class

The inspiration for this piece was from Rory Kurtz. This is was originally a picture of my friend, Morgan Jackson, and she wanted me to take a picture of her looking at her phone in Honors Orchestra. It was in color when I first took the picture but she edited it so it can be in black and white when she posted it on facebook. I took that same concept of it being in black and white ,and I decided to corporate some color into it. So as a result, I painted the background and the color of her skin in black and white. Then, I painted her clothes, boots, earrings, and phone in color since she is the main focus of the piece. I am really satisfied of the overall result of the painting. The only thing that I would change about it is that I should have painted her face in color along with the rest of her clothes.

Typography

My first artwork was inspired by David Carson and the use of typography. The best thing that I like about this piece is the color scheme. Since purple is my second favorite color and also the color of my birth stone,  decided to use it along with black and gray. I used the dabbing technique to create the texture of the art piece. What I learned during the process of making this piece, was to have my idea ready before hand , and also know exactly what you want to put on the paper.
